Although photography may be interpreted as an abrupt and punctual cut in the domain of space-time, I think still images always carry past and future. My conception of the still image is defined by the idea of motion, so my work often includes videos that complement and/or construct the still image. My work resides both in the still image and in the possibility of movement, because movement can generate new shapes.
I build images as extension of my thoughts, feelings and observations on the condition of individuals and social groups in the contemporary world. I try to discover and illustrate phenomena and mechanisms, that may be spontaneous or imposed, individual or collective, that limit existential experience by promoting alienation and threatening freedom of action, thought and choice.
